Every Gay Man In America Must Immediately Sleep With Brad Pitt

Brad PittImage by wvs via Flickr Why? Because we're givers. Because we care. And because Brad Pitt just gave $100,000 to fight the anti-marriage equality proposition in California:
"Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8," the actor said in a statement.
It's not like I haven't had a total boner for Mr. Pitt for almost two decades now...but this moves him from the "hottie" category into the "hero" category. (Well, he's in both...right next to Clooney, Gyllenhaal, Penn, Affleck, and the other left-leaning dreamboats.) As a side note, I think Mr. Pitt's having one of his career-best performances right now in Burn After Reading, which is significantly better than the reviews would have you believe. I attended this weekend with Mr. ModFab, and we were both thrilled with its sophistication and timing...rare pleasures in a Will Ferrell-ized world.

And if Brad's looking for a new place to park his fabulous family, maybe he'd like to move to one of the ten most gay-friendly cities in the world. (Los Angeles isn't one, sadly.) New York sits comfortably at #3, behind San Francisco (of course) and Sydney (absolutely). And if those seem, well, too gay, there's always these up-and-comers. (Havana...who knew?) I'd definitely avoid these cities, though.

I'm not a huge Brad Pitt fan but that statement is awesome. Discrimination has no place in America. Pretty simple, isn't it? Direct and to the point. And even better, he's putting his money behind it.

Pretty interesting list of the least gay-tolerant places, too. Most of them I probably could have guessed, but I really had no idea about Jamaica. Unbelievable. And as a former (for one year) Tel Aviv resident, I'm happy to see it on the most-improved list!

"The lone North American entry, New York, sits comfortably at #3, behind San Francisco"

maybe it's because i'm useless at geography but that sentence doesn't make sense to me

Uhhh...perhaps San Francisco is a country unto itself? I screwed up, am changing it now...

With you on Pitt (duh), great news about the donation (duh), love you for citing Penn as a "left-leaning dreamboat."
