Stage Addiction: Broadway Invades Hollywood and TV

Great news today about Michael Stuhlbarg (The Pillowman, The West Wing), arguably my favorite stage actor working today....he's been tapped to star in the next film from the Coen Brothers (No Country for Old Men). He'll share top billing with Richard Kind in the period black comedy The Serious Man. What's it about? "Set in 1967, the story centers on Larry Gopnik (Stuhlbarg), a Midwestern professor whose life begins to unravel when his wife sets out to leave him and his socially inept brother (Kind) won't move out of the house." I love it when talented people get a good break.

Another stage favorite, Nick Spangler (The Fantasticks), is making a different kind of debut...as a reality show contestant on CBS' The Amazing Race. The new cast was announced yesterday, and there was Nick, in all his glory! (Tapeworthy thinks he might be gay...I won't tell, but, sistah please.) I'm just excited that my favorite reality show ever (yes, EVER) has decided to start pimping out the Great White Way.
