Come on, you know you want to.
No, I don't. Really. I will see it, I guess, out of some sense of theatrical/musical responsibility. But I'm not looking forward to it. And this poster makes me break out in a rash.
is it wrong that I kinda wanna see this. Maybe not for $10... but maybe at the $3 theatre...
I hate Abba and I hate Juke Box musicals even more. This is a crime against humanity. So not going to see it no matter how much I love Meryl.
Okay, I'm actually looking forward to this, but I have to agree that that poster is not really doing it for me.
Awww, c'mon. I'm looking forward to this. I saw Mamma Mia! in New York over the summer and I had a great time. I thought it was lots of fun. Ok, I'm a sucker for pop-oriented scores, like Hairspray and Wicked. I admit it. Plus, the movie will have Meryl Streep, America's greatest living actress, and sun dappled Greek islands. What's not to like?
i'm torn. on the one hand any excuse to hear abba songs is a must for me, but the poster and the trailer? Ugh. And the fact that the musical is actually pretty dire with a very tenuous plot linked together by songs? Still i will probably get sucked into the hype and love it. I'm not very complex really.
"A very tenuous plot linked together by songs" -- Isn't that, like, the dictionary definition of a musical? The poster is barf-inducing, but the dancing queens in my household will see this, sing along to it, and probably love it. Sad, but true.
It's not a pick-axe but:http://amanandamouse.blogspot.com/2008/08/mamma-mia-its-abba-but-is-it-musical.html
