Friday Hot Guy: The Winner of the Iowa Caucus

Allow me just one teeny-tiny moment of joy, okay? Because I'm sure, come New Hampshire next week, it'll be a very different story. (Next week, we'll return to our regularly-schedule softcore porn.)

I was HOPING for this entry in FHG for this week, given the historic nature of the night!

You DO realize, though, that there are quite a few beefcake shots of Sen. Obama out there... those infamous beach shots might serve you well! ;)

Take as many moments as you like, dear. A great moment for Obama, a wonderful speech, and despite the fact that Obama isn't my guy at this stage of the game, I'm still open to the possibility that his use of right-wing framing is just a ruse, that he's trying to throw them off guard before slipping them the shiv.

And why are my word verification "vujew"? Is this some kind of Kabbalic symbolism? ;)

Enjoy it, for now. It's early days. This is the 13th presidential election of my lifetime and I've been a deeply interested observer (and sometimes I've campaigned) since 1972 (I watched the entire Democratic convention in 1972..."Ohio passes!"). It's just the beginning. But good on Obama. Anything and anyone is better than another Republican administration. What we need, regardless of which Democrat wins, is someone who believes in what government can achieve, because government is the expression of the people working together for the common good (or can be when people believe in its possibilities). The past seven years have taught us how disaster after disaster befalls a country that decides to privatize its federal functions.

I really think, if Hill pulls it out next week, you oughta scrounge up some sexy shots of her for a similar post. It's only fair. Wasn't there some hullabaloo over some surprising decolletage a couple weeks back? That should work. ;-)

Whatever you think about Obama, his win in Iowa does give me a smidgen of hope for this country.

Very exciting, yes!
But I really hope you're wrong about it being "a different story" next week.
