Kylie To Serenade James Bond?

Merely the *idea* that two of my favorite cultural crushes, Kylie and James Bond, might unite is enough to send me into fits of spasmotic ecstasy...and enough to make me publish a very shaky rumor. Everything Kylie is 'reporting' that Ms. Minogue is interested in performing the theme for Bond 22, the next installment in the James Bond film franchise. "According to a leading UK tabloid, Kylie's quoted as saying 'It’s every girl singer’s dream. I have not mapped out a song but I would love it.'"

As EK notes, it's way too early for Bond producers to have decided on the theme song artist, and there are other acts circling the prized theme, including The Killers, Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis....not to mention the persistent rumors that Robbie Williams will eventually get a shot at Bond's music. But let's put all of those thoughts out of our minds, and hope that Kylie will finally become, at long last, a Bond Girl.

NICE. I'd love to hear/see her as both the singer and the Bond girl. Didn't Sheena Easton pull down that gig for "For Your Eyes Only"? Or was she only the singer?

I would rather her be a Bond Girl at this point. No one really remembers the Bond songs lately (especially not since the Shirley Bassey days), but a Bond Girl is a life-long legacy!!
