The Party of Family Values...

...is now sporting a closeted, self-hating homosexual hypocrite with a penchant for public sex in airports and 20 years of scandal behind him...and he's not resigning. So much for restoring integrity blah blah blah.

I hope the evangelical base recognizes, at long last, that their party is a complete and utter sham.

The Republican Party is so incredibly full of shit. I don't like liars, but I can't abide a hypocrite.

I didn't want Larry Craig to resign because he committed a crime -- in all honesty, I don't believe that what he was doing should be viewed as criminal, especially since there was no offer of a cash exchange. I wanted him gone because the closeted son-of-a-bitch has fucked over the gay community repeatedly, despite the fact that he can't seem to keep his dick from wandering over to the other side of the pink curtain.

I know that a lot of gay conservatives struggle with their (completely) natural sexual desires and the dictates of their faith, and I actually feel sorrow for them as they undergo the difficulties of that struggle. Even though I believe that the love they want to experience is good in God's sight, they have legitimate reasons for disagreeing with me (w/r/t Christianity, I simply disagree with their particular interpretation of the text.). I lose COMPLETE sympathy, though, when those same people try to screw over others whose only sin is to live their lives openly and honestly, and unless I miss my guess, the good senator is one of these people.

Larry Craig is a fucking embarassment, and it's not because he has a "wide stance" (that HAS to be in contention for the title of "Euphemism of the Decade," right up there with "wardrobe malfunction"); it's because he's a mean-spirited, self-hating prick who is so small-minded and petty that he will punish people who have the audacity to live their lives with an honor that he is too afraid to embrace.

And that, ladies and germs, is why I love Tiffany. :-)

And you're absolutely correct: the problem isn't homosexuality, it's hypocrisy. A hypocrisy used to hurt millions of LGBT people.

And yes, "wide stance" does make me crack up. You have to realize, men's rooms are more sanctified that women's. It's the only time in polite society where we actually air our manhood out in the open, so to speak...and many men simply cannot handle that, straight or gay. You should see how silly we all get in the locker room at the gym. :-)
