ModMusic: Berlin Acoustic

I received a marvelous Christmas gift from a truly excellent blogger who I love more than chocolate, and I've barely stopped listening to it since it was unwrapped: 80's Hits Stripped, which are new stripped-down versions of classic songs performed by the original artists. There are amazing reinterpretations of songs by Thomas Dolby, Naked Eyes, The Go-Go's, and Men at Work, but the most surprising track has to be Berlin, rocking up their classic synth track "The Metro" with guitars and snarls. Lead singer Terri Nunn still sounds great. Love it! (Also, check out their MySpace page to hear the band's fab cover of Marilyn Manson's "The Dope Show", and their website to sample their version of Depeche Mode's "Never Let Me Down Again.")

Download: "The Metro"
Then Buy: 80's Hits Stripped
