But The Very Next Day, You Gave It Away...

Who doesn't love Wham's ridiculous holiday carol "Last Christmas"? It's an 80's classic, a peppy synth hook that chronicles a sad breakup, all in a song that has almost nothing to do with the subject of Christmas. But if you're in your 30's, you almost certainly know every lyric. I say we choose to enjoy that fact, and not weep for our eternal souls.

If you'd like to weep for someone, weep for the makers of Last-Christmas.com, who are trying to gather every cover of the song ever made. They've got 135 so far, including versions by The Smurfs, Carrie Underwood, Jimmy Eat World, The Revolvers, and a rather fetching acoustic version by Manic Street Preachers. And about 80 terrible dance remixes. Enjoy the kitsch of the season. [VH1]
