You Tube of the Week: The Office

You may have noticed that TV sitcoms have gotten a serious case of suck-itis of late. (Sorry, we're bored to tears by The New Adventures of Old, Boring Elaine from Seinfeld and Two and a Half Men...with Only One Tired Joke Between Them). But The Office is the shining exception to the rule of sitcom suckage, the last, best hope for television comedy. Okay, so it's not really You Tube, but NBC has free 2-minute replays and deleted scenes at the show's homepage. I admit to laughing out loud in my living room at the first two episodes of the fall, which included manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell) accidentally outing (and then kissing) a gay employee, and a trip to a convention with the saddest hotel room party in history. Our blogbuddy Eddie is dead-on: The Office is rapidly becoming one of the best sitcoms in television history.
