You Tube of the Week: Oscar Bait

Next week, the race for the Academy Awards officially kicks off with All The King's Men, the long-delayed remake led by Sean Penn. But at the moment, the Oscar contender we're most psyched for is Children of Men, the apocalyptic drama from Alfonso Cuaron (who made Y Tu Mama Tambien and the best of the Harry Potter movies, Azkaban). Check out the trailer: the film received raves at the Venice Film Festival two weeks ago, and recently the studio moved it from a September release to Christmas week. It must be testing off the charts. (Yeah, baby!) We're leaving You Tube behind this week to offer trailers for other major contenders. Watch, explore, and judge appropriately:

Babel (October 27)
Bug (December 1)
The Departed (October 6)
Dreamgirls (December 25)
Flags of our Fathers (October 20)
The Fountain (November 27)
The History Boys (November 22)
The Last King of Scotland (September 27)
Little Children (October 6)
Marie Antoinette (October 13)
The Prestige (October 20)
The Queen (September 29)
Running With Scissors (October 20)
Stranger Than Fiction (November 10)
Volver (November 3)
