Study: Crystal Meth Improves David Lynch Films

So having just returned to the world of computers, I've only made a quick scan of the blogosphere, but I did find a few items of interest:

- The New York Film Festival announced its official lineup, which (again) features NYFF regulars Stephen Frears, Alain Resnais, Jafar Panahi, Michael Apted, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. We have to admit disappointment; there are only a few items of real interest, including the latest by David Lynch, Inland Empire; Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette; The Journal of Knud Rasmussen, co-directed by Zacharias Kunuk (Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner); and Pan's Labyrinth, the fantasy by Guillermo Del Toro. Well, there's also a little film called Volver, by a little filmmaker named Almodovar. But since it gets released soon after the festival, we'll skip the festival prices and see it with the plebians at the AMC Empire. [Cinematical, IFCBlog]

- Drag diva Hedda Lettuce dispenses some very useful advice: How To Tell If Your Man Is Hooked on Crystal. (Rule #1: He can fuck for hours but never seems to achieve an erection.) [Queerty]

- Time magazine picks their 50 Coolest Websites, and unlike previous years, there's some surprisingly useful finds on the list. Packed in with obvious favorites like Lifehacker and YouTube are new (to us) delights like Photomuse, Zunafish, and HopStop. [Bibi's Box]
