Cannes Winners

Surprising most pundits, Ken Loach's The Wind That Shakes the Barley won the Cannes Film Festival today. (Not a surprise to me, though...your humble ModFab picked the film to win before the festival even started. Loach was overdue for some Cannes love.) Buzz favorites Babel and Volver did well, with the former picking up best director for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and the latter winning both the screenplay category and an ensemble award for its actresses (including Carmen Maura and Penelope Cruz, pictured with Almodovar above.)
