Aishwarya Rai Makes Us Rethink The Whole Gay Thing

The world's most beautiful woman (in our humble opinion), Bollywood starlet Aishwarya Rai, was stopping traffic everywhere she went in Cannes yesterday. Let's be real, though...wouldn't YOU drop everything if she walked up to you? I would, and I'm not even attracted to women. (Am I?) Thanks to Steph and Alek for the Aish fix; they're following all the Cannes celebs at their sister site, Hollywoodville.

More at Cannes: review roundups at Daily Greencine for in-competition films including the controversial Summer Palace and Pedro Almovodar's latest, Volver. (Great reviews for Pedro again...has he been on a roll this decade or what?) Also on tap: Directors Fortnight entries Princess and Bug, the International Critics Week opener Les Amities Malefiques and in the Un Certain Regard sidebar, Paris je t'aime, Hamaca Paraguaya, and Taxidermia.

Cinematical has James Rocchi reporting in from the Croisette with a look at Fast Food Nation and Martha Fischer covering the Cannes casting frenzy (which includes Naomi Watts, Viggo Mortensen, Scarlett Johansson, and Brittany Murphy).
