Oscarcasting: Live Action Shorts at iTunes

Everyone knows the ONLY way to win the Oscar pool on Sunday night: get the smaller awards right. (C'mon, even my one-armed retarded brother knows to pick Brokeback Mountain for Best Film). But who has the time to research Best Sound Mixing, or Best Animated Short, or Best Use of Taffeta in a Non-Geisha Related Film?

It got a little easier this week to pick Live Action Short, when iTunes put all of the nominees up for download. $2 a pop, and you too can see why Six Shooter remains the prohibitative favorite. (Not just because it was written and directed by Martin McDonagh, the brilliant mind behind last season's Broadway triumph The Pillowman and upcoming Broadway transfer The Lieutenant of Inishmore.)

My Oscar picks will be forthcoming tomorrow -- which will, of course, put all nationwide concerns about the winners to rest -- but in the meantime, go download some nominees (besides the naked photos of Jake and Heath).
