It's the kind of
announcement that makes gay boys go weak in the knees...
Liev Schreiber and
Meryl Streep will appear this summer at Shakespeare in the Park (which means tickets are free, people!) at the
Public Theater's Delacorte Theatre in Central Park. Beginning June 13, Schreiber will play the title role in
MacBeth, directed by
Moises Kaufman (
The Laramie Project). Following that will be Streep in Brecht's
Mother Courage and her Children, directed by
George C. Wolfe (
Lackawanna Blues). If that isn't worth waiting hours and hours and hours in line for, I don't know what is.
