Kylie: Pop Art Goddess

As if we needed MORE reasons to move to Australia: ModFab's personal goddess, dance chanteuse Kylie Minogue, is now the subject of the new exhibit "Kylie: An Exhibition" at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum. Running through early May before moving on to Melbourne's Art Centre, the exhibition promises to be "a unique glimpse into the costumes and techniques that go into creating the image of today’s pop star - the Velcro, the wear and tear, and of course the designers – Dolce & Gabbana, Gaultier, McQueen and Chanel, to name a few." With videos, original photographers, and personal mementos, it is more than enough to give this queen diva-induced chills. I feel like singing to the museum personnel: "Too much of a good thing/You can never get enough of my good love/Open up and let me in."

Special bonus: On February 23rd, a workshop called "tricks of the stage" will reveals some of Kylie's secrets (think: duct tape) used for live stage performance and their impact on costume, prop and set design. Then on March 18-19, there will be sessions with Kylie's dancers and choreographers, accompanied by videos of her stage performances. Both are free. FREE! I should be so lucky, lucky lucky lucky.
