FabMusic: Dennis Blackwell in Concert

New York is jam-packed with talented performers, working at the top of their game. Yet only so many of these artists can be famous at once...it seems like America can only process so much talent before it gets brainfreeze. So what's an incredibly talented and gorgeous hunk of baritone supposed to do?

He gets a concert, that's what. Dennis Blackwell is an award-winning singer who has performed at New York City Opera, the Kennedy Center, the Caramoor International Music Festival and with major companies in Washington D.C., Baltimore, Florida, and Massachussets, to name but a few. He's gotten rave reviews for years for his honey-dripping voice and stellar showmanship. Perhaps most exciting...he also happens to be Modern Fabulousity's Better Half. (Well, it's exciting for him, I'm sure.)

Next week's concert -- his first solo recital in nearly four years -- will mix Mozart and Sondheim, Puccini and African-American spirituals, as well as rare selections from The Aids Quilt Songbook. Each selection giving you a glimpse into this artist's heart and soul. Best of all...the concert promoters are only asking for a suggest donation at the door, so even those of you without an opera-sized wallet can attend!

So if you'd like to see mind-blowing talent in the company of your fellow ModFabbers (many of whom will be in attendance), here's the info:
